VINTAGE STEAM EVENT
WITH LONDON TRANSPORT MUSEUM

THE OCCASION

A two day event for the London Transport Museum’s 1930’s Steam Event.

SETTING & LOCATION

Afternoon tea served to TFL’s guests on platform 2 of Amersham Station in Buckinghamshire.

THE MENU

We served the guests a choice of teas & a self serve lemonade stand along with chocolate brownies, generous slices of traditional cakes along with buttery scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam.  The little ones were not forgotten, they were served milkshakes with scones and jam or tea-cup biscuits with marshmellows.

SPECIAL TOUCHES

We were asked by The London Transport Museum to provide a pop up tea room on the platform of Amersham Station, we set the area with wooden table and chairs, large rugs, metres of union jack bunting and tea themed props to transform the platform into a cosy tea room setting.

KIND WORDS

Mrs Jones Tea worked with us at London Transport Museum on our annual vintage heritage steam event.  The brief was challenging – to create a pop up tea room on Amersham Station for 360 sit down guests and a takeaway tea stand and cake service.

Straight away Gemma understood the unique nature of the event and was very flexible to accommodate our needs.  The set dressing and crockery was wonderful setting the mood perfectly for the delicious treats Mrs Jones Tea served up.  Our Particular favourite was the gooey chocolate brownies!  It was logistically tricky event and Gemma handled every challenge perfectly and with grace.”
